NEW YORK (MarketWatch) — New York LaGuardia Airport’s Terminal C was partly evacuated after smoke coming from a bag was reported to authorities, according to media reports on Tuesday. Law enforcement was investigating the report after the bag was spotted by ramp workers as it was being loaded onto a Delta Airlines flight heading for Virginia, said The Port Authority. The bag in question was removed from the terminal and the flight prepared for departure as investigators looked into the incident, said a spokesperson. Authorities were said to be questioning a passenger over the incident.
