Plane skids off runway at Jacksonville Naval Air Station

A chartered Delta Airlines jet traveling from the U.S. Navy base at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba to Florida ran off the runway at Jacksonville Naval Air Station during stormy weather on Saturday night, military officials said.

The Boeing 737 was carrying 167 passengers from GTMO when it ran into mud after leaving the runway.

No one was injured and the incident is under review, said base public affairs officer Miriam Gallet.

The Florida Times-Union reports that Delta was arranging a flight through Jacksonville International Airport to carry passengers headed to Norfolk, Virginia.
