Delta Airlines flight to US delayed after receiving ‘bomb threat’

Jose Angel Honrado, Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) general manager, said airport personnel received the call at around 3:40 am Saturday and said that the bomb was planted in the cargo section of the plane.

“As a standard procedure, the Airport Police responded, the PNP Aviation Security Group responded, chineck yung cargo sa eroplano, wala naman nakitang bomb,” Honrado said.

Delta Airlines flight 171 was scheduled for departure at 6:45 am but was able to fly out at 7:21 am due to the incident. (PNA)
