Delta Airlines will offer seasonal direct flights between Glacier Park International Airport and Los Angeles International Airport starting Dec. 21 and terminating on Jan. 5, 2014.
Seats are now available for the service, which will be offered in a two-class, 76-seat jet.
“L.A. is a strong market for us,” Glacier Park International Airport Director Cindi Martin said. “It appears that Delta is going to test the waters. It will be interesting to see how it performs.”
Martin said that seasonal routes to the Flathead Valley are common, though usually airlines choose the summer months for those. The winter flight market is growing, though, she said.
“We’re thrilled and excited to see how it performs and hopefully it does very well,” she said. “It could possibly lead to seeing the route back on a longer term.”
